El ministro de Finanzas británico, Gordon Brown anunció una rebaja en el impuesto sobre la renta, que pasará de 22 a 20 por ciento a partir de abril de 2008, y un recorte de 30 a 28 por ciento en la tasa de impuesto profesional a partir de la misma fecha.
