Guatemala y Corea del Norte tienen relaciones

Aquí nadie ha dicho nada; pero Guatemala y el régimen de Kim Jong-il, el dictador de Corea del Norte han establecido relaciones diplomáticas. Así lo informa la agencia noticiosa de aquel país asiático.

Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) — A joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and the Republic of Guatemala was made public in New York on Sept. 26. According to it, the two governments decided to establish diplomatic ties at ambassadorial level effective from the date of the signing of the joint communique, out of the common desire to develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, guided by the principles of mutual respect for independence, national sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-interference in the internal affairs and the provisions of the Apr. 18, 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The joint communique was signed by Choe Su Hon, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, on behalf of the government of the DPRK and by Gert Rosenthal, foreign minister of Guatemala, on behalf of the government of Guatemala.
